* Position Summary:

** The Merchandise / Retail Store Intern supports the daily operations of the Columbus Clingstones Team Store and game-day retail activations throughout the ballpark. This role provides hands-on experience in sports retail management, inventory control, customer service, and merchandising strategy within a professional baseball environment.
*
* Key Responsibilities:

*** Assist with daily operations of the Clingstones Team Store, including opening and closing procedures
* Provide exceptional customer service to fans and guests
* Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently
* Assist with merchandise displays, visual merchandising, and product replenishment
* Support inventory management, including receiving shipments, stock organization, counts, and shrink control
* Assist with pricing, tagging, and product placement for new merchandise launches
* Support game-day retail operations at satellite merchandise stands throughout the ballpark
* Assist with e-commerce order fulfillment, packaging, and shipping (if applicable)
* Support special promotions, theme-night merchandise, and limited-edition product drops
* Help track sales data and assist with post-game or post-event reporting
** Learning Opportunities:

* Understanding of merchandise planning tied to promotions and fan demographics
* Customer service and sales best practices
* Insight into vendor relationships and product lifecycle management

* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Interest in retail management, sports business, marketing, or merchandising
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy in transaction handling
* Ability to work nights, weekends, and game days
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
** Physical & Work Requirements:
*** Ability to stand for extended periods
* Ability to lift and move merchandise boxes (up to 40 lbs)
* Willingness to work in varying temperatures within the ballpark
