Position: Retail Sales Associate - 3211

Overview

$13.00 to $16.00 per hour. We offer a commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process and opportunities to earn additional wages through performance-based pay.

Position

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate / Pawnbroker in our pawn store locations nationwide. The role involves customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business, processing sales, loans, and other transactions. The successful candidate engages with customers in a positive and professional manner and assists with inquiries and problem resolution. The position may involve working with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

Compensation includes hourly pay plus commission and potential bonuses based on productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
  • Perform non-management open/close procedures.
  • Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
  • Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle cash and negotiable items according to policies and procedures.
  • Answer incoming calls per company standards.
  • Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; contribute to a positive customer experience.
  • Complete required training and fulfill other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; able to stand and perform duties for extended periods.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • Minimum age 18;
    High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to serve customers and be a team player; able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math proficiency; cash handling experience preferred.
  • Possess flexibility to work at multiple locations and a schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate with ability to operate POS systems.

Commission Plan

Commission incentive plan is proprietary; pawnbrokers have potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during interview process.
