Support Lead Part Time

Responsibilities

• Ensure all crew members are delivering outstanding customer service through personal contact.
• Train crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience, ensuring a fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates, ensuring effective duty performance and excellent service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock to place items quickly and efficiently on the sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and urgent issues.
• Manage opening and closing processes, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and ensuring smooth daily operation.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates, teaching store policies, product knowledge, and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses, seeking ways to boost sales through merchandising, staff performance, and service.
• Partner with the store leadership team on merchandising procedures and inventory recovery.
• Perform store maintenance, such as taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the stock room.

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Creative thinking.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

• Operate cash register frequently.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove items up to 5–10 feet high.
• Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stock room and sales floor.
• Communicate with customers via telephone and face‑to‑face, exchanging accurate information.
• Assist customers across the sales floor and to/from stock room.
• Work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, possible overnight shifts, and travel as required.
• Identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and SOPs.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for about 80% of the time.
