Job Description
The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry‑level program designed to prepare candidates for a Store Management role within 18–24 months. The program offers a 44‑hour per week schedule, which may include evenings and weekends. Participants will collaborate with store management to oversee a million‑dollar business, gaining leadership, sales, and operational skills. Successful completion of the initial 8‑week training may lead to an Assistant Store Manager position.
Responsibilities- Complete training consistent with program objectives.
- Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Maintain knowledge of all products for effective customer recommendations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
- Perform store administration tasks.
- Ensure compliance with policies, including safety, loss prevention, and security.
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
- Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action.
- Respond to and resolve customer and/or employee complaints.
- Partner with Store Manager to make outside sales calls to increase market share.
- At least 18 years old.
- Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree by the start of the program.
- Ability to retrieve materials and lift/carry up to 50 lb. frequently and up to 70 lb. occasionally.
- At least one year of retail, sales, or customer service experience.
- At least one year of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Prior experience in a team‑oriented setting.
- Experience selling paint or paint‑related products.
- Experience with time‑keeping and/or customer relationship management systems.
- Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
- Multilingual communication skills.
- Spanish language proficiency.
