Description:
This is a part-time, on-site Sales Associate role based in Columbus, OH. For this role, we are seeking an individual with weeknight evening and weekend availability. The Sales Associate will engage with customers in the retail environment, provide product knowledge on FOUNT’s leather goods, and support an elevated, welcoming in-store experience. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, explaining product features and care, processing sales and returns, maintaining store cleanliness and merchandising standards, and handling basic inventory tasks such as restocking and organizing product displays.
The role also involves supporting store events, sharing brand stories that align with FOUNT’s mission, and collaborating with team members to meet sales goals and service standards.
Qualifications
- Sales and customer service skills, including the ability to build rapport, understand customer needs, and close sales in a retail environment.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to provide clear product information, handle questions, and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Basic retail operations skills, such as point-of-sale system use, cash handling, inventory stocking, and visual merchandising.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple customers, tasks, and priorities during busy store hours.
- Interest in fashion, accessories, or leather goods, with a willingness to learn about FOUNT’s products, materials, and brand story.
- Reliability and professionalism, including consistent attendance for an on-site role and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Prior retail or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; a high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
