Sales Associate - Contingent

Contingent. Most hours will typically be in the evening - we are looking for someone who can be at work by 3:30pm. Some mornings possible. Weekdays only.

Provides services for patients, families, visitors, and hospital staff. The Sales Associate greets every customer, determines each individual’s specific needs and fulfills those needs in a friendly, efficient manner.

• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Resolve problems that arise with customers, physical plant or equipment and seek an appropriate resolution.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for staff and visitors.
• Answer phone calls, resolve questions, give directions, and offer appropriate suggestions.
• Make priority setting decisions, perform stock replenishment, maintain storage and merchandise presentation.

• Effective customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent mathematical abilities and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to work independently.

Experience operating a cash register or computer is desired. Previous retail sales experience is a plus.

• Occasionally:
  Lifting / Carrying 0-10 lbs, 11-20 lbs, 21-40 lbs;
  Pushing / Pulling 0-25 lbs, 26-40 lbs.
• Frequently:
  Bend/twist, Climb stairs/ladder, Color vision, Computer skills, Depth perception, Driving motor vehicles (work required)
  * additional testing may be required, Flexing/extending of neck, Hand use: grasping, gripping, turning, Peripheral vision, Reaching above shoulder, Repetitive hand/arm use, Seeing – Far/near, Sitting, Squat/kneel.
• Continuously:
