Job Overview
The Account Manager owns and manages an assigned book of business and serves as the primary strategic point of contact for customer pest management needs. This role focuses on identifying pest-related risks, uncovering service gaps, and guiding customers toward effective, long-term solutions.
In addition to relationship management and revenue growth, the Account Manager is accountable for overall account health—ensuring services align with contractual scope, service standards, and property needs while proactively identifying risks to service continuity, compliance, or customer confidence.
This is a commissionable, inside account management role where growth is driven through proactive account stewardship and consultative solution identification in close partnership with Field Services and Operations.
Key Responsibilities Book of Business Ownership- Own and manage an assigned book of business with full accountability for account health, retention, and growth
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts
- Build strong, professional relationships with property managers and decision-makers
- Maintain a clear understanding of customer properties, service scope, and pest pressures
- Act as the steward of the customer partnership, ensuring expectations, commitments, and service standards are consistently upheld
- Represent the company with professionalism, credibility, and sound judgment in all customer interactions
- Proactively monitor account activity to identify risks related to service consistency, access, preparation, compliance, or recurring pest issues
- Identify pest risks, service gaps, and emerging issues across the assigned book of business
- Address customer questions, concerns, or escalations with a solutions-oriented approach
- Generate leads by recognizing when additional services or adjustments are needed
- Educate customers on pest concerns and preventative strategies
- Guide customers through appropriate service solutions in a consultative manner
- Ensure services are maintained in accordance with contracted scope, agreed service schedules, and compliance requirements
- Proactively identify risks to service continuity and coordinate resolution efforts
- Partner with Field Services and Operations teams to support proper service delivery
- Address customer questions or concerns and follow through to resolution
- Communicate updates, findings, and recommendations clearly and professionally to customers and internal stakeholders
- Partner with internal teams to convert identified needs into scheduled services
- Track account activity, service recommendations, and opportunities using internal systems
- Share recurring trends, account insights, and systemic challenges to support continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation that supports service continuity, visibility, and decision-making
- Operate with a solutions-oriented, long-term mindset
- Communicate with clarity, professionalism, and accountability
- Represent the company’s service standards and values in all customer interactions
- Not cold calling or outbound prospecting
- Not a transactional or one-time sales role
- Not a reactive customer service-only position
- 2+ years of experience in account management, inside sales, or customer success
- Experience managing an assigned book of business and serving as the primary point of contact for customer accounts
- Experience in a service-based or operationally complex environment strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with operations or field teams
- Total earning potential typically ranges from $65,000–$85,000 annually, based on performance
- Includes an hourly base plus commission
- Commission is uncapped, providing strong upside for high performers
