Role SummaryProactive and detail-oriented individuals with a passion for sales are invited to join Nationwide as a Sales Support Specialist. In this role, you will support external and virtual wholesalers by scheduling appointments, maintaining relationships, and ensuring they stay informed about product updates and rate changes.
Location:
Must reside within 35 miles of either Columbus (Three Nationwide Plaza, Columbus OH, 43215) or Grandview (1000 Yard Street Grandview OH, 43215).
Work schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
Responsibilities- Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and manage appointments for external and virtual wholesalers, including conferences, lunches, continuing education sessions, and webinars.
- Wholesaler Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with wholesalers, ensuring they receive timely updates and remain well-informed about product enhancements and rate changes.
- Sales Support: Provide essential support to the sales team, assisting with administrative tasks, data analysis, and communication.
- Territory Updates: Keep track of territory-specific updates and communicate them effectively to wholesalers.
- Sales-Driven Approach: Collaborate with a sales-driven mindset, understanding the importance of meeting targets and contributing to overall business growth.
- Daily Outreach: Proactively initiate daily contacts with financial professionals to understand their business, promote Nationwide solutions, and secure opportunities for further engagement.
- Outbound Calling: Perform outbound calls to existing Nationwide financial professionals to aid in retaining business.
- Prospecting Calls: Conduct prospecting calls to financial professionals who have not done business with Nationwide or who have not engaged recently.
- Pre-Call Planning: Review lists and search the database for relevant information to prepare for calls.
- Collaboration with Wholesalers: Work with wholesaling teams to identify targeted financial professionals and keep the calendar updated.
- Webinar Promotion: Promote webinars to drive attendance and participation.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Sales Enthusiast: Passionate about sales and eager to learn and grow within the field.
- Organized and Proactive: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to proactively manage schedules and relationships.
- Effective Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-Oriented: Accuracy matters, especially when dealing with rates and product information.

Reports to the Manager. Does not have direct or indirect reports.
Education & ExperienceUndergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Typically requires at least 1 year of experience in Customer Service, Sales, or Sales Support.
Job Conditions- Overtime Eligibility: Eligible (Non-Exempt)
