Sales Representative, Business Development, Account Manager, Outside Sales
Comfort Systems USA Ohio is growing our service sales team in Columbus, and we’re looking for a results-driven, relationship-focused professional to join us as a Account Executive
.
This role is ideal for someone with SALES experience in:
- Mechanical service
- Commercial HVAC
- Plumbing or electrical services
- Service agreements
- Technical or commercial service sales
As an Account Executive
, you will manage and grow an existing portfolio of commercial customers while actively developing new business within the Columbus market. You’ll work directly with building owners, facility managers, contractors, and key decision-makers to identify service needs, develop practical solutions, and support long-term building performance and reliability.
This is more than a traditional sales role. You’ll help customers solve real operational challenges by connecting them with service solutions related to:
- HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Service agreements
- Project-based solutions
- Long-term building performance and reliability
- Manage and grow existing commercial customer relationships
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the assigned territory
- Build relationships with building owners, facility managers, and decision-makers
- Conduct site visits to assess equipment condition, system performance, and service needs
- Develop proposals, scopes of work, and service recommendations
- Identify opportunities for service agreements, repairs, upgrades, and project-based solutions
- Maintain an active pipeline and support long‑term account growth
- Partner with operations, service, and technical teams to deliver aligned customer solutions
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in mechanical service, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related industries
- Proven success managing accounts and closing new business
- Experience selling service agreements, repair services, or technical solutions to commercial customers
- Strong relationship‑building, communication, and consultative selling skills
- Self‑motivated, proactive approach to business development
- Ability to manage a territory, maintain a disciplined pipeline, and follow opportunities through close
- CRM and forecasting experience preferred
