We are seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to lead regional sales growth for medium voltage drives (MV drives),
variable frequency drives (VFDs),
drive systems
, medium and low voltage motors
, and a full portfolio of industrial automation and power solutions
. This role focuses on territory management
, account development
, and technical sales across a high‑potential Midwest region.
Ideal candidates bring strong experience in electrical power equipment sales
, industrial motors
, and power electronics
, along with a proven ability to build relationships with OEMs, distributors, end users, and EPC firms
.
- Manage and grow accounts across Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan through strategic territory planning and market analysis
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, end users
, and key decision‑makers - Identify new business opportunities, drive lead generation
, and onboard new accounts - Increase wallet share and expand presence within assigned customer base
- Develop high‑quality account plans using CRM and standard sales tools
- Achieve sales quotas for medium voltage drives
, MV VFDs
, industrial motors
, and related industrial services - Support direct account managers and manufacturers’ reps throughout the sales cycle
- Collaborate with business development, inside sales, engineering, and marketing teams
- Drive specification influence with OEMs and channel partners
- Execute solution selling
, value‑based selling
, and technical selling strategies
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding of drive systems
, motor control systems
, and industrial automation applications - Provide application support and technical guidance to customers
- Promote digitalization solutions, predictive maintenance, and service agreements across the installed base
- Understand customer buying behavior and internal processes to drive long‑term engagement
- Serve as a customer advocate and build long‑term, win‑win relationships
- Coordinate cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, and marketing teams
- Support customer needs through strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 5–10 years of experience selling electrical power equipment
- Strong background in account management
, new business development
, and territory management - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
- Ability to quickly learn technical products and industrial applications
- Proven success in achieving sales targets and driving market expansion
- 5–10 years of experience with Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drives (MV VFDs)
- Experience in power electronics design
- Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Chemical, or Municipal utilities
- Familiarity with industrial facilities
