Venue Sales Specialist Part-Time

We’re looking for a
Venue Sales Specialist to represent
GENESIS Downtown
, a premier event venue, and help bring unforgettable experiences to life. In this role, you’ll be at the intersection of sales and events—connecting with clients, showcasing the space, and turning inquiries into fully realized celebrations, corporate gatherings, and one-of-a-kind experiences.

• Serve as the first impression of Genesis Downtown—responding to inquiries with energy, professionalism, and a client-first mindset
• Lead engaging, personalized venue tours that help clients envision their event in the space
• Build customized proposals, contracts, and pricing that align with each client’s vision
• Proactively manage leads, follow-ups, and pipeline activity to convert inquiries into booked events
• Hit (and exceed) monthly sales goals and revenue targets
• Represent Genesis Downtown at networking events, industry gatherings, and within the local community
• Partner with the Event Operations Coordinator to ensure a seamless transition from booking to execution

• Previous experience in venue sales, hospitality, events, or a sales-driven client service role required
• A self-starter who takes initiative and can stay two steps ahead in sales and marketing efforts
• Confident communicator with a strong phone presence and professionalism during client meetings and venue tours
• Comfortable following up with leads, building relationships, and making outbound sales calls
• Innovative, resourceful, and solutions-oriented with the ability to think independently
• Able to make decisions confidently while remaining coachable and open to feedback
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and operate with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
