Director of Business Development
We're looking for a results-driven Director of Business Development to accelerate the growth of our infrastructure Right of Way and Permitting solution and develop new revenue streams for our next-generation cloud platform with AI/ML capabilities.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have success in selling services or software to Transportation/Transit, local Government, and/or oil/gas/midstream, renewables, utilities clients.
- Possess knowledge of land record management/right-of-way acquisition, real estate asset and permitting.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Identify new markets and clients through networking, cold calling, and social media. - Relationship Building:
Actively engage prospects and help them navigate internal buying processes, leveraging existing relationships as an advantage. - Sales and Negotiation:
Conduct presentations, support product demos, negotiate, and close deals, with thorough follow‑up and consistent engagement. - Customer Success:
Contribute to customer satisfaction and retention. - Reporting and Analysis:
Track and report sales metrics. - Coordination with Operations and Product Development:
Continuously engage with project delivery to develop new solutions. - Support or lead product demos.
- Minimum of 7 years of industry‑related business development experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability in B2B SaaS sales.
- Strong relationship‑building skills.
- Analytical/problem‑solving ability to analyze data and develop solutions.
- In-depth product knowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Solid presentation skills with high energy level and professionalism.
- Ability to support various conferences, including IRWA annual/local conferences, AASHTO, and travel to client locations nationally as required (up to 40% travel).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
