A client of Insight Global in the wood working industry selling edge banding is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Head of Sales to lead business development and account growth across North America for a well-established supplier in the woodworking industry. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and play a key role in expanding market share while building long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies across the NA Continent market
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities
  • Manage and grow existing industrial customer accounts
  • Build relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and end users
  • Prepare pricing, quotations, and contracts
  • Oversee customer projects and ensure successful execution
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams
  • Collaborate with leadership on product strategy and market positioning
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Support and eventually lead internal sales team efforts
  • Contribute to process improvements and organizational optimization
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of sales experience selling into the woodworking industry or closely related sectors
  • Experience in woodworking, furniture manufacturing, or related industries
  • Ability to travel domestically (up to ~50%) and internationally as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business tools
Preferred Background
  • Additional language skills (German and/or Spanish) are a plus
  • Onsite role based within commuting distance
  • Domestic travel ~2–3 days per week after ramped
  • Occasional international travel for training and business development
  • Base salary $100K + potential commission structure + performance bonuses to be negotiated
