Salary Range: $24.00 per hour + uncapped bonus

While the posted pay rate reflects the anticipated range for this role, the final compensation, including base pay and any bonus or commission potential, may vary based on relevant experience, transferable skills, tenure, and demonstrated performance.

Joining a new Wayfair store launch means being part of something special from Day 1. During the first several weeks, you will work alongside the team to help set up, organize, and prepare the store for opening, which will look different from your long term day to day responsibilities. This hands on, team first experience helps bring our store to life and sets us up for success once we open our doors to the community and our customers.

As a Home Improvement Sales Professional for Wayfair Stores, you'll help customers bring their home projects to life through expert guidance, thoughtful problem-solving, and a seamless shopping experience. Focused on categories such as lighting, bathroom vanities, and appliances, you'll combine deep product knowledge with consultative selling to turn inspiration into confident purchase decisions. Reporting into the Retail Engagement team, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys technical problem-solving, and is energized by exceeding performance goals while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

• Engage customers in consultative conversations to understand their project needs, recommend the right solutions, and guide them to confident purchase decisions across home improvement categories.
• Consistently meet or exceed an average sales per hour (SPH) goal of $400 while achieving monthly revenue targets, daily goals, and key performance indicators in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
• Develop deep expertise across 3 to 5 key subcategories or product lines, using technical knowledge to build trust and simplify complex purchase decisions.
• Apply advanced problem-solving and creative negotiation skills to overcome complex customer objections and secure orders where others might fall short.
• Support customer demand across all categories by quickly pivoting to handle overflow inquiries, applying strong technical reasoning across diverse product attributes.
• Participate in world-class training to stay current on products, supplier offerings, systems, tools, and sales processes that support your success.
• Share ideas and feedback that help improve customer experiences, sales strategies, and operational effectiveness.
• Thrive in a high-energy retail environment where products, promotions, technology, and processes evolve rapidly.
• Deliver a consistently positive, professional, and welcoming Wayfair experience in every customer and team interaction.
• Support Wayfair's total store goals by cross-training across key store functions, including sales and back-of-house operations. You'll flex where needed to support customers, teammates, store needs and peak business periods.

You'll Thrive in This Role if You Have:

• 1 to 3 years of success in a fast-paced, customer-facing, metrics-driven sales role, such as retail or inside sales. Technical or category-based sales experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, paired with a passion for helping customers navigate complex purchase decisions.
• Motivation to exceed sales targets while maintaining a customer-first approach.
• Tenacious, entrepreneurial, and accountable, balanced with openness to feedback and coaching.
• Comfort navigating constant change across products, promotions, tools, and daily operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills that build trust and clarity.
• Ability to manage multiple customer interactions, prioritize effectively, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, plus confidence learning new systems and tools.
• A collaborative spirit and genuine desire to support team success.
• Bachelor's degree or college diploma equivalent.
• Interest in or passion for home improvement, design, and home products is a plus.
