Outside Lease Sales Representative

Position Summary

Truckway Leasing and Rental Company is looking to expand our Sales team. We want a highly motivated, sales-minded individual to help us grow our business in and around the Columbus, OH market. The Outside Lease Sales Representative is responsible for business development of our leasing lines, finding and developing new maintenance service opportunities, and reporting to the President. This role offers a competitive salary, commission, car allowance and an industry leading benefits package including medical benefits and 401k.

• Regular contact with potential prospects selling a wide variety of products including leasing agreements to the transportation industry.
• Help prepare estimates and quote pricing on truck leasing opportunities.
• Monitor and provide feedback on the company’s industry competitors, new services, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs.
• Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers.
• Conduct calls and face‑to‑face meetings with customers daily.
• Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers.
• Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts.
• Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally.
• Strong understanding of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.

• Competitive drive to meet or exceed sales targets and quotes.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior truck leasing/sales experience required.
• Customer service, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize.

• Read, communicate verbally or in written form, remember and analyze information, and understand instructions and guidelines.
• May be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift or move up to 15 lbs.
