Purpose of the Role
As an Outbound Sales Representative, your job is to create new business. You’ll prospect companies across the country, identify businesses that generate or need reusable containers, qualify opportunities, and help grow Verde Trader’s vendor and customer network.
You’ll play a key role in expanding our marketplace, driving consistent tote recovery, and keeping valuable industrial packaging in circulation.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to new vendors, customers, and business prospects
- Prospect through phone, email, Linked In, and other outreach channels
- Identify companies that buy, sell, recycle, or generate used IBC totes and bulk containers
- Qualify leads and uncover opportunities for Account Executives
- Build and manage a consistent outbound pipeline
- Follow up with prospects and maintain accurate CRM records
- Develop relationships with businesses in freight, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, food production, chemicals, recycling, and industrial supply
- Hit and exceed monthly activity, meeting, and sales targets
What We’re Looking For
- 0–2 years of sales, freight, logistics, brokerage, transportation, or customer-facing experience
- Cold calling experience strongly preferred
- Freight brokerage, carrier sales, dispatch, logistics, or transportation experience is a plus
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls
- Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone
- Competitive, money-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset
- Ability to handle rejection and keep moving
- Organized follow-up habits and strong pipeline discipline
- Interest in sales, marketplaces, recycling, sustainability, or industrial operations
Compensation & Benefits
- $52,000 base salary
- Uncapped commission
