Stepping into this Outside Sales Representative position, you will be responsible for selling truck tires, mechanical services, and value-added lubricants throughout the Columbus, Ohio trucking market. The territory is yours to manage, the relationships are yours to build, and the growth is yours to drive. Expect a field-based, outside sales role anchored in the Columbus metro area.
What you will do to succeed- Source leads, line up appointments, and do whatever it takes to expand sales.
- Build out accounts, prospect, and run sales calls across the commercial, fleet, and industrial sectors (between 15 and 20 calls daily).
- Collaborate closely with Inside Sales and Customer Service so the sales process stays accurate.
- Devote close to 95 percent of working hours to your territory, nurturing relationships and selling tires, lubricants, and related products and services.
- Keep every account's customer files complete and accurate.
- Cover a sales route that rotates across your accounts every two weeks.
- Log your sales pipeline in the CRM.
- Keep sharpening knowledge through product training and manufacturer classes.
- Assist in setting credit terms and resolving collection issues when they surface.
- Grow your territory profitably while delivering on targets.
- Move each key account relationship beyond order-taking into a trusted business partnership.
Essential
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- A home base within the Columbus, Ohio metro area.
- A minimum of 3 years selling tires, with strong preference for commercial truck tire (B2B) experience.
- Free to start with no non-compete standing in the way of selling commercial tires in the Columbus market; disclose any existing agreement up front.
- Your own vehicle is required, with the company contributing a monthly travel allowance.
- Outside, territory-based selling experience with a heavy daily call load.
Note: Retail or consumer tire experience alone is not a fit; this role requires commercial, business-to-business tire experience.
Preferred
- Comfort working with CRM tools.
- A bit of college coursework.
- Established connections with fleets or commercial accounts across central Ohio.
- Specifically, commercial truck tire (B2B) experience.

Candidates must disclose any existing non-compete agreement up front. Our client reviews and clears any non-compete before interviews.
Commercial truck tire (B2B) experience is the core requirement. Retail experience alone is a disqualifier.
This role requires your own vehicle. A monthly allowance is provided.
