Job Overview

As a Macy's Women's Clothing Selling Support colleague, you’ll help customers express their personal style and turn fashion into a source of inspiration. With a passion for hospitality, an eye for trends, and strong product knowledge, you’ll create meaningful connections through genuine, engaging conversations. You’ll actively circulate the sales floor to understand each customer’s needs, share the benefits of our loyalty programs, and guide them through a seamless shopping journey from start to finish.

In addition to delivering exceptional service, you’ll help maintain merchandise standards, support fitting‑room and sales‑floor upkeep, and assist with fulfillment to ensure a polished, shop‑ready environment.

How Our Selling Colleagues Spend Their Day
  • Begin each day energized and ready to make an impact. Wear their name badge with pride, greet teammates with a warm hello, and help ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
  • Before starting, review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top‑selling items, and stay up to date on current trends and promotions.
  • On the floor, focus on the customer: offer a warm welcome, make eye contact, and create friendly, personal conversations to build lasting relationships.
  • Throughout the day, maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and supporting any needed merchandise moves.
  • Finish strong by sharing loyalty program benefits, making sure customers have all they need, and ending with a sincere thank‑you, often walking the package around and using the customer’s name.
Who You Are
  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
  • Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
  • Meet daily sales goal challenges.
  • Responsible for acquiring new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
  • Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
  • Resourceful and eager to start a new venture, adaptable to changing priorities; can work independently but thrives in a team dynamic.
  • Handle electronic devices with ease.
Schedule

Full‑time colleagues are scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week; part‑time colleagues are scheduled 12–24 hours per week. All schedules include weekend shifts.

Essential

Physical Requirements
  • Talk, lift, constantly move, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
  • Stand for at least two consecutive hours, lift at least 25 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach above eye level.
  • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment, cash register, and ability to process register transactions.
