The Columbus Fury are a professional women's volleyball team competing in Major League Volleyball (MLV) — the premier professional women's volleyball league in North America. Women's sports is experiencing a genuine cultural and commercial inflection point, and the Fury are building one of the flagship franchises in that story. Columbus is one of the most dynamic sports markets in the country — home to a passionate fan base, a thriving business community, and a deep connection to volleyball at every level.
We are entering the 2027 season with new leadership, a clear vision, and the ambition to build something that Central Ohio hasn't seen before in professional women's sports. We are looking for a Director of Ticketing & Memberships who wants to be part of building this — not maintaining what already exists.
This is a player-coach sales leadership role. You will personally sell ticket packages, season memberships, and premium experiences while leading a team of three account executives. You own the number — not just the strategy around it. The Director of Ticketing & Memberships is responsible for all ticket and membership revenue: season memberships, group sales, premium seating, mini plans, and single-match inventory.
You will set the sales culture, establish accountability, and be the most active seller on the floor. If you prefer managing from a distance, this is not the role. If you want to lead by doing and build something real, read on. This role is based in our Columbus, Ohio office. Occasional remote flexibility is available, particularly during the off-season.
You'll Own
- Personally sell season ticket memberships, premium seating, group packages, and mini plans
- Develop and execute the annual ticket sales strategy and revenue plan
- Identify new business opportunities and untapped revenue streams
- Set and exceed individual and team revenue targets
- Own pipeline management and sales forecasting
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of three account executives
- Establish daily activity expectations, pipeline standards, and accountability measures
- Recruit, onboard, and train sales staff
- Build a culture where hitting the number is the expectation, not the exception
- Drive season ticket member renewals and retention
- Design and oversee member benefits, recognition programs, and exclusive experiences
- Build communication plans that keep members engaged year-round — not just on game day
- Create touchpoints that turn first-year buyers into long-term advocates
- Own ticket inventory management, dynamic pricing strategy, and platform administration
- Ensure accurate fulfillment, reporting, and game-day ticketing operations
- Manage the Ticketmaster Archtics platform and related systems
- Develop dashboards and KPIs that give leadership a real-time view of performance
- Partner with Marketing on promotions, campaigns, and attendance-driving initiatives
- Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships on integrated sales packages
- Contribute to organizational planning and ownership reporting
- 4+ years of experience in ticket sales, membership sales, or sports revenue generation
- Proven personal sales track record — you can name the number and explain how you got there
- Experience leading or mentoring a sales team
- Proficiency with CRM systems and ticketing platforms
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with the event schedule
- Strong communicator who builds relationships quickly and follows through consistently
- Experience with Ticketmaster Archtics
- Background in professional sports, college athletics, or live entertainment
- Experience selling premium seating, season memberships, or hospitality products
- Familiarity with dynamic pricing and inventory management strategies
- Season ticket membership revenue increases year-over-year
- Renewal rate improves through a structured retention and service program
- Premium seating and hospitality packages are actively sold with a defined pitch and pipeline
