Senior Oncology Specialist

Responsibilities
  • Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
  • Craft an effective marketing strategy to aid in driving sales.
  • Analyze sales activity effectiveness and territory performance, developing territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand and focusing on patient service.
  • Partner with colleagues to share best practices and engage in continuous curiosity and learning.
  • Leverage oncology disease‑state awareness, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare or scientific field not related to sales, OR
  • Associate degree with 6+ years of sales/clinical experience, OR
  • High school diploma/GED with 8+ years of sales/clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in oncology.
  • At least 3 years of sales and/or marketing experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
  • Experience in product or hospital sales within oncology and related specialties.
  • Local market knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
  • Adaptability with core competencies: planning and organizing; leveraging business and technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving results; cultivating relationships.
Benefits & Salary

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $140,465 to $190,041. In addition to the base salary, Amgen offers a comprehensive total rewards plan that includes health and welfare plans, financial plans, work/life balance initiatives, career development opportunities, retirement and savings plans, discretionary annual bonus, stock‑based long‑term incentives, award‑winning time‑off plans, and flexible work models.
