Client Relationship Representative Reserve

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Customer Relationship Representative (Universal Banker) – Reserve. This full‑time role focuses on delivering high quality customer service by accurately conducting bank transactions and promoting products that meet customers’ financial needs.

• Provide excellent customer service:
  • Respond to customer requests for banking transactions.
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide solutions that address their current needs.
  • Build customer loyalty and advocacy.
• Contribute to the overall banking center operation:
  • Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Follow information security policies to protect customer privacy.
  • Assist with opening and closing the banking center.
• Actively participate in a sales environment:
  • Sell bank products, make referrals, and support sales goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of all bank products.
  • Participate in daily and weekly meetings and coaching sessions.
• Lead and mentor colleagues:
  • Train, coach, and guide staff in operational and sales skills.
  • Attend required training sessions.
  • Lead sales and service activities at the banking center.
  • Assist in operations to ensure policies and procedures are followed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months of experience selling products or services.
• Minimum one year of sales, banking, or related experience.
• Extensive travel required; must travel daily to banking centers within the assigned region.
• S.A.F.E. Act Registration via the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) within three months of hire.
• Ability to obtain Notary Public designation.
• Strong multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of the bank’s product and service lines.

• Prior banking experience.
• Ability to sell and cross‑sell bank products and services.
