We’re hiring a Med Tech Business Development Manager for a fast-growing company with a strong culture who believes that building relationships is just as critical as closing deals. Could it be you?
CMD Med Tech is a consulting firm in Columbus, Ohio focused on helping innovative medical device companies get their products to market… and keep them there. Our team thrives on collaboration, integrity, and follow-through.
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who brings a strategic mindset, a genuine relationship-building style, and the confidence to represent CMD in a highly technical, highly regulated industry. You don’t need to be an engineer—but you do need to speak the language of people who build life‑changing devices.
We’re looking for someone who knows how to open doors, nurture relationships, and create opportunities that align with CMD’s strengths and values. How will we know you’re the perfect match?
- You’re energized by meeting new people and building long‑term relationships, not just closing deals.
- You can navigate conversations with engineers, executives, and founders with equal ease.
- You’re comfortable representing CMD at conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
- You’re organized, disciplined, and known for following up and following through.
- You can identify high‑quality opportunities and shape them into well‑scoped engagements.
- You value integrity and transparency — no shortcuts, no surprises.
- You thrive in an environment where hard work and outcomes are rewarded and directly tied to your success.
- You understand the medical device ecosystem and the challenges companies face with design controls, regulatory submissions, and EU MDR.
- You’re excited to help CMD grow in a way that strengthens our culture and our impact.
We believe in clarity, transparency, and shared success. Together, we’ll track:
- New leads generated
- Number of new customers onboarded
- Number of repeat engagements per client
- 5–10 years of business development, sales, or account management experience—ideally in medical devices, life sciences, or engineering/regulatory consulting
- A genuine ability to build trust with technical buyers
- A proven track record of growing relationships over time
- Confidence and presence at industry events—you work a room naturally
- Strong organizational habits and reliable follow‑through
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A strong network in the medical device industry
- Columbus‑based, with willingness to travel (25–40%)
- Real‑world patient and caregiver impact—your work helps bring safer, better devices to market
- A team that values integrity, growth, and genuine collaboration
- Direct access to leadership and autonomy to build something meaningful
- Competitive salary, bonus, 401(k), health, life, PTO, and more
