We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Sales Development Representative to help build the future of health insurance  an SDR, you will be on the front lines of our go to market engine, generating pipeline, engaging prospective customers, and creating the first impression many brokers and employers will have of Healia.

In this role, you will partner closely with our Sales and Marketing teams to identify target accounts, execute outbound campaigns, qualify early opportunities, and ensure Account Executives have the support they need to close new business. This role is crucial to our growth and offers a strong career path into Sales, Marketing, or other customer‑facing roles within the company.

The Sales Development Representative position reports directly to our Director of Marketing. If you are excited about working at a fast‑paced startup where your outreach and persistence directly impact company growth, this role is for you.

This is a full‑time, in‑office role (5 days per week) based in Columbus, OH.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Outbound Prospecting and Lead Generation:
    Execute high quality outbound outreach through phone, email, Linked In, and other prospecting tools to generate new conversations and qualified sales opportunities.
  • Pipeline Qualification and Discovery:
    Engage executives and benefits leaders in thoughtful, professional conversations to understand their needs and determine whether Healia’s Total Care Option is a fit.
  • Collaboration with Account Executives:
    Work closely with our AEs to hand off qualified opportunities, coordinate outreach across target accounts, and support ongoing pursuits.
  • CRM and Process Excellence:
    Maintain accurate activity logs and prospect data in Hub Spot. Follow and refine SDR processes that create consistent and predictable pipeline generation.
  • Product and Market Understanding:
    Develop a strong working knowledge of Healia’s product, the employer benefits landscape, and how our solution creates value for brokers, employers, and families.
  • Goal Achievement and Team Contribution:
    Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly outreach and qualified meeting targets. Contribute ideas, messaging, and experimentation that improve team performance.
You’ll be Successful in This Role If You...
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Bring 0 to 2 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or customer‑facing roles (new college grads welcome and encouraged to apply!).
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Are motivated, resilient, and energized by hitting targets.
  • Can manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Are detail oriented with strong organizational habits.
  • Thrive in a startup setting where processes evolve quickly and ownership is shared.
Bonus Points
  • Prior experience at a startup.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare or insurance industry.
  • Prior experience with Hub Spot or other CRM platforms.
  • Prior experience with outbound sales tools such as Linked In Sales Navigator or Seamless.
