Position Summary
The Region Sales Manager (RSM) – Surgical is responsible for leading sales efforts and achieving revenue targets across surgical specialties (Laparoscopy, Arthroscopy, CV/Thoracoscopy) and project business (Video Imaging and OR1 Integration) in the Ohio Valley region. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, customer relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional sales team.
- Recruit and retain top sales talent; address performance and HR issues as needed.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute annual sales plans and forecasts.
- Drive market share growth across all product lines.
- Leverage product differentiators to influence purchasing decisions.
- Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare stakeholders.
- Serve as key account manager for strategic customers.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and post-sale support.
- Monitor competitive activity and provide feedback to internal teams.
- Recommend new product opportunities or enhancements.
Administrative & Compliance
- Manage regional budget and sales sample inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of management experience, including 2+ years in medical device sales (surgical preferred).
- Proven ability to lead and motivate sales teams.
- Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and travel up to 50%.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screening.
