Position

Information Scientist
- Biological Chemist. This position will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
- Provide database building support for life sciences literature curation into CAS products and services.
- Review documents and indexing structures in a production environment.
- Collaborate as part of a team in an agile organization; demonstrate a proactive, flexible attitude and willingness to take initiative.
- An advanced degree in pharmaceutical sciences or closely related scientific field. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with extensive professional experience will be considered.
- Excellent scientific reading comprehension and writing skills.
- Ability to learn policies, work habits, insights, and tool usage from trainers to foster quality and productivity.
- Strong learning agility, including the ability to quickly learn and apply complex scientific concepts, policies, and technology tools; apply learnings to new situations and glean relevant insights.
- Effective organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management, and multi-tasking.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work with computers at a basic level; familiarity with video conferencing, instant messaging, email, calendar scheduling, word processing, spreadsheets, and document sharing software.
- Ability to solve complex problems within and outside of the primary group.
