Position SummaryThis research‑focused tenure‑track faculty position leads an independent program in spatial immuno‑oncology, utilizing cutting‑edge technologies such as spatial transcriptomics, spatial proteomics, and imaging mass cytometry to study the tumor microenvironment within the world‑class team of the Pelotonia Institute for Immuno‑Oncology.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead an independent research program focused on spatial immuno‑oncology. Conduct experiments and analyses using advanced spatial biology technologies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across basic, translational, and clinical research. Secure extramural funding and oversee project progress. Mentor students and junior investigators.
Requirements- PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in pathology, immunology, cancer biology, or a related field.
- Strong record of research excellence with publications in high‑impact journals.
- Expertise in spatial biology technologies, tumor microenvironment analysis, and immuno‑oncology.
- Proven history of securing extramural funding.
- Strong leadership, communication, mentorship skills, and collaborative mindset.
- Background in anatomic or clinical pathology combined with translational or basic research in immuno‑oncology (desired).
- Demonstrated success in securing extramural research funding (e.g., NIH, DoD, NSF, major private foundations).
