This position will work on a variety of interesting projects and offers growth for professional and personal development split between office and in the field.
B&N Entry Level Geologist Responsibilities- Working with a team of professionals, collect and evaluate environmental data and install sample collection points
- Develop your skills performing on-site field sampling of soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water to assess projects sites
- Under the direction of experienced staff, perform data reduction, evaluation and minor report writing for projects related to brownfield redevelopment and restoration
- Bachelor of Arts/Science in Hydrogeology, Geology or other related Earth or Soil science
- 0-2 years of experience, prior experience in preparing, reviewing and interpreting geologic data is advantageous
- Strong foundation in Microsoft Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
- A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history is a must
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and traverse uneven terrain
- Ability to travel up to 50% of time, including overnight stays
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills
Travel arrangements to and from work assignments including airfare, hotel, and meals are reimbursed. Of course, all safety training, equipment, tools and tech are provided!
