Requirements
  • Active RN License
  • Degree from an accredited nursing program
  • BLS & ACLS Certifications

Responsibilities

The Oncology RN will provide care for cancer patients throughout all stages of their conditions, focusing on the acute phase. Duties include administering chemotherapy, implementing symptom management strategies, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients about treatment options and procedures. The role may also involve specializing in areas such as pediatric hematology/oncology or breast cancer.

  • Provide care for cancer patients throughout all stages of their conditions, but usually focusing on the acute phase.
  • Assist patients ranging from post‑surgical to near‑terminal management of their disease and treatment.
  • Educate cancer patients about treatment options, procedures, and disease particulars.
