Research Scientist
Responsibilities:
- 50% performs research on native point defects in indium tin oxide (ITO); documents information resulting from these studies and reports to sponsors; performs other duties as assigned by faculty advisor; coordinates the conduct of experimental tests and procedures; organizes and manages research projects.
- 25% prepares technical reports, papers and presentations to disseminate new research findings and experimental performance of new designs; assists in mentoring student employees; attends research groups and unit meetings.
- 25% assist with the design and delivery of an engaging course; supports teaching of one course per academic year.
Education:
Ph.D. in Solid State Electronic Device Structures
Required:
A Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrated expertise in depth resolved cathodoluminescence spectroscopy (DRCLS) of semiconductors. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse students and stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a culture of innovation and excellence. Strong written communication skills.
Desired:
Self-motivated and able to work in a team with minimal supervision.
