We are hiring for a Laboratory Assistant in the pharmaceutical industry! This role will primarily handle preparing and cleaning the glassware for the labs, although you will get experience helping out in other areas and have room to grow long-term. This is a 1st shift, Monday - Friday position!

Job Description

The Laboratory Assistant supports laboratory operations by preparing, delivering, and tracking samples, standards, reagents, consumables, and glassware. This role ensures that laboratory materials are accurately documented, properly cleaned, and readily available, while maintaining compliance with internal procedures and supporting a smooth workflow across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

+ Accept requests from internal customers and accurately retrieve samples, standards, reagents, and consumables to support laboratory activities.

+ Assemble and deliver complete laboratory kits, including worksheets, chemicals, and glassware, ensuring all required components are available and correctly labeled.

+ Enter all material and request transactions into systems such as SAP, Lab Ware, and Ariba to maintain accurate inventory and usage records.

+ Collect samples and standards once laboratory work is complete and prepare them for delivery to the warehouse for appropriate destruction.

+ Prepare samples and perform cleaning validation and verification activities to ensure glassware and materials meet required cleanliness standards.

+ Troubleshoot entry errors in Lab Ware, including correcting documentation issues and resolving discrepancies in recorded transactions.

+ Investigate and resolve issues related to locating standard samples or any ordering problems to minimize delays in laboratory operations.

+ Support science and sample preparation processes by following established documentation procedures and maintaining clear, accurate records.

+ Collaborate with laboratory staff, stockroom personnel, and other on-site teams to ensure timely delivery and collection of materials.

+ Follow all relevant safety, handling, and documentation procedures when working with reagents, chemicals, and drug products.

+ Assist with basic sorting, organizing, and inventory-related tasks in the chemical stockroom to help maintain an efficient and orderly environment.

Qualifications:

+ Must have at least a High school diploma or associate degree in a science-related field.

We are looking for candidates who have some experience in the scientific field, such as a Pharmacy technician background or laboratory experience, although we may be flexible to considering other backgrounds.

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
