THE

OPPORTUNITY

As the Coordinator, Global Security and Operations Center (GSOC), third‑shift schedule of 12am–8am, Thursday through Monday, you will be responsible for providing a safe and distraction free environment for all Chipotle guests and employees. The Chipotle GSOC is a 24/7 crisis monitoring and reporting center that provides real time risk response and analysis for Chipotle’s corporate offices and restaurants. The GSOC provides warnings and guidance on instances such as: threats related to criminal activities, geo‑political crises, weather‑related emergencies, and natural disasters affecting our people across the company in support of the Global Security & Resilience (GSR) team vision.

The GSOC Coordinator operates as a member of the GSOC team by monitoring for intrusion and duress alarm signals from restaurants and accurately determining whether an alarm constitutes a security event. The coordinator may also be tasked to assist with basic information gathering and notification of law enforcement or restaurant personnel. This individual may receive indications and warnings of enterprise, security, and crisis related events and is expected to assist GSOC Analysts with reporting crisis related events to our field, restaurant, and RSC partners (or occasionally initiate reports in the absence of an analyst).

WHAT

YOU’LL DO
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills when answering calls from our external, field, restaurant, and RSC partners
  • Respond to initial alarm signals and emergency issues and initiate appropriate actions per policy related to all enterprise office locations and restaurants globally
  • Quickly and accurately determines whether an alarm requires action based upon CCTV review, alarm signal types, etc.
  • In the absence of a GSOC Analyst, responds to emergency issues and coordinates appropriate actions per policy, seeking guidance from leadership when required or necessary
  • Accurately and concisely report incidents dealing with theft, safety, and other asset protection or security issues
  • Assist GSOC Analysts with monitoring internet, social media, news, and vendor media sources for global security issues, following protocol in case of an emergency, escalating to appropriate GSR leadership as appropriate
  • Assist GSOC Analysts with monitoring the security and safety of all employees, including those who travel or work at our office locations. May follow‑up with the employee, leadership and internal partners as directed.
  • Monitor access control, burglar alarms, fire safety systems, and CCTV systems and coordinate issue resolution with the GSR team or external resources
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Experience supporting crisis management, security operations, or call center equivalent preferred but not required.
  • CPR and first aid training preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast‑paced environment; including knowing when to ask for help and effectively deliver instructions regarding safety
  • Strong decision making through sensitive situations in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively within a team‑oriented environment.
  • Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Detailed, working knowledge of building security, fire, and safety systems.
  • Experience processing alarm data from multiple sources and subsequently coordinating a response dependent on the nature of the alarm (i.e., false alarm, break‑in, etc.)
