As a Security Officer - Walking Patrol in Columbus, OH
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic cultural institution location, you will monitor and patrol walkways, gathering areas, and event spaces, staying highly visible to help deter security‑related incidents. You will greet guests, assist with directions, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with teams and site staff.

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural location open to the public.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including disputes, medical events, lost persons and/or disorderly behavior.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of walkways, gathering areas, parking areas and the perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, public spaces and/or activity areas, provide directions and assistance to guests, and report maintenance concerns such as lighting outages, damaged fencing and/or hazardous conditions to site contacts.
• Complete written and/or electronic reports, log patrols and incidents, communicate by radio and/or phone, and coordinate with local first responders as directed by site policies and Allied Universal procedures.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
