Data Center Security Lead, COL

About the Position

Cologix is seeking a Data Center Security Lead to oversee day‑to‑day physical security operations at the site level. The role supervises security personnel, executes access control procedures, and ensures consistent enforcement of security standards in a mission‑critical, multi‑tenant environment. It acts as the on‑site supervisor and primary point of accountability for security operations, including staffing, scheduling, shift coverage, accurate documentation, incident response, and audit‑ready practices, while coordinating with Operations and Infrastructure teams.

• Oversee daily security operations and supervise security officers
• Own scheduling and staffing coverage to ensure consistent security presence across all shifts
• Enforce access control procedures including badging, visitor access, and escorts
• Manage access lifecycle including badge issuance, changes, and revocation
• Ensure accurate and complete access logs and documentation
• Maintain consistent application of site procedures and post orders

• Respond to and manage on‑site security incidents
• Ensure proper escalation, containment, and documentation
• Support incident investigations and follow‑up actions
• Coordinate with Operations during site‑impacting events
• Escalate issues and risks to the Security Manager

• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and access records
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits
• Ensure professionalism, cleanliness, and organization in security‑controlled areas
• Participate in site emergency response activities and drills

• Serve as the on‑site leader for the security team
• Support customer access and ensure a professional, controlled site experience
• Participate in tours and site visits as needed
• Lead by example and maintain accountability across security staff

• Monitor and report issues with access control, CCTV, and alarm systems
• Coordinate with Operations and Infrastructure to support secure site activity

• 3+ years of experience in physical security or related field
• Experience in a supervisory or lead role preferred
• Experience scheduling staff and managing coverage in a 24×7 environment
• Strong understanding of access control procedures and site security operations
• Experience with incident response and reporting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Experience in data center or mission‑critical environments
• Familiarity with access control and CCTV systems
• Experience supporting audits or working in regulated environments

• Consistent staffing and coverage across all shifts
• Reliable execution of security procedures and access control
• Accurate documentation and incident reporting
• Strong team performance and accountability

$25 - $30 an hour
