Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Patrol Screening Specialist in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and support visitors with strong customer service and communication.

Pay Rate: $18.36 / Hour
Job Schedule:
- Mon – 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
- Tue – 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
- Wed – 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
- Thu – 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
- Fri – 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
- Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out assigned security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor access points and public areas, observe and document security‑related concerns, and communicate with site contacts, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
- Support daily operations by following post orders, maintaining a visible presence, and completing required logs, reports, and/or other documentation accurately and on time.
- X‑Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
