Senior Security Officer - FOP MC Security

Schedule40 hours per week, varying shifts.
Responsibilities- Ensure the security of an outpatient location, maintaining a safe environment for staff, physicians, patients, and visitors.
- Act as an active field training officer for assigned shifts, providing support and operating independently across multiple areas and departments.
- Assist Department Administration and on‑site property managers in managing patient property and investigation functions.
- Conduct on‑going field training services for newly hired security officers, including monthly meetings to review progress and assess knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Lead after‑action incident debriefings with clinical staff and ensure impacted employees have access to emotional support resources.
- Perform public and patient safety functions: patrolling buildings and grounds, staffing fixed security posts, monitoring access, monitoring cameras, and managing security and alarm systems.
- Respond to emergencies, maintain required training levels, and report all safety concerns to Public Safety and Security.
- Oversee patient property and valuables, investigate patient property losses or thefts, and follow up on employee accidents assigned to the Security Department.
- Submit complete and accurate reports with recommendations following all investigations.
- Work with limited supervision and manage tasks without well‑defined procedures or instructions when necessary.
- High School diploma or GED preferred;
Associate degree in a relevant field preferred. - 2 years of relevant experience required; 4–6 years preferred.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license.
- Must serve a 12‑month probationary period from the date of employment.
- Subject to successful completion of a psychological evaluation.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of the unique security department operations at the Medical Center.
Final candidates are subject to a successful background check. A drug screen or physical exam may be required during the post‑offer process.
