Part-Time OPOTA Certified Armed Flex Security Guard- Columbus, OH

About the Role

Premier Protective Security (PPS) is seeking an OPOTA Certified Armed Security Officer for our Columbus, OH location. The position is part‑time and offers a base pay of $20 per hour plus overtime opportunities.

• Actively monitor the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations.
• Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Maintain vigilance, noticing potential risks or incidents on client premises.

• Must be OPOTA Certified Armed Flex Security Guard in Ohio.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a personal firearm to carry on the job.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have at least 5 years of verifiable experience (required for armed roles).
• Applicants will be subjected to a background investigation and drug screening in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
