Full‑time, first shift 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, hourly position covered by State of Ohio Unit 2 bargaining unit.

• Performs police related duties per hospital policy as assigned by the Chief of Police.
• Secures buildings and grounds by foot or vehicle patrol as assigned by the Chief.
• Advises the public of policies related to Visitation both in‑person and virtual.
• Escorts visitors to visitation area as necessary.
• Assists nursing staff during emergency codes only under the direction of the Chief and/or Police Officer 2.
• Completes documentation as required or assigned by the Chief.
• Assists PO‑2 Officers as needed, including traffic enforcement, codes, and property security.

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes fractions, decimals & percentages and in reading & writing English vocabulary; valid driver's license. Probationary period is one year.
• OR possession of certificate having successfully completed approved basic peace officer training program or completion of 20 years active duty as peace officer per Section 109.78 (D) of Ohio revised code for developmental disabilities & mental health facility employees; must be able to successfully perform Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Program (OPOTC) Fitness Testing Entry Standards for New Recruits; probationary period is one year.
