General Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal and overall condition of our luxury apartment community. You will be responsible for various tasks related to apartment maintenance including HVAC repair, plumbing work, and general maintenance upkeep, ensuring that our apartments and common areas are always in top-notch condition.

• Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks including but not limited to painting, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC repair, appliance repair, and carpentry.
• Complete work orders efficiently and in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the maintenance shop and storage areas.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks around the property as needed, including landscaping, snow removal, and trash removal.
• Communicate effectively with the property management team to coordinate work schedules and prioritize tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Serve as an on-call emergency maintenance technician after hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to address urgent maintenance issues such as leaks, electrical problems, or security concerns. Technicians are on call for a week at a time and offered additional incentives for being on call.
• Prioritize and respond to emergency calls in a timely manner, resolving issues effectively to minimize disruption for residents.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC Certification (5 years).
• Previous experience in general maintenance and apartment make-ready preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basic repair techniques for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
