Job Summary
Our Dock & Door Technicians, a.k.a. “Service Professionals,” are the core of our preventative and emergency response services for customers. They troubleshoot, service, install, and repair industrial equipment of all shapes and sizes. The role involves on-the-road work, visiting varied sites such as commercial buildings, aircraft hangers, schools, fire/police departments, hospitals, and large warehouses. Service Professionals gain exposure to the inner workings of major operations in North America.

Room for Growth
The exciting aspect of being a Service Professional is that you can start where your current skills align with the level of work. Miner offers four levels of Service Professionals to help you gain, advance, or refine dock and door abilities.
- Apprentice Level (Level I) – best for candidates who love learning and training. Related-field experience is a plus; important is an understanding of mechanics and the ability to fix a variety of products.
- Service Professional Level (Level II) – ideal for candidates with at least one year of related-field experience and knowledge of basic electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting. Strong customer communication in the field is important.
- Senior Level (Level III) – experience in basic repairs in AED, Highspeed, or gate fields with proficiency in hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting. Typically requires 4 years in the field.
- Expert Level (Level IV) – masters of their craft, skilled in electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting with leadership skills and extensive knowledge in dock leveler and door repairs. Generally requires at least 8 years of experience.

What You’ll Do
Service Professionals are responsible for hands-on customer care. They troubleshoot, service, inspect, install, and repair industrial equipment. There is paperwork involved; roles include maintaining work orders on paper and digitally. The role requires operating a vehicle regularly to visit different customer sites and contributes to safety and OSHA compliance for the company.
What We Look For
Qualified candidates should respond “Yes” to our core questions and possess the following skills in their toolbox:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience; we value execution, quality, and impact for Miner customers.
- Ability to repair industrial facilities, including doors, loading docks, and dock-levelers.
- Willingness to learn welding, steel fabrication, and electrical; hydraulic and pneumatics experience is a plus—highlight it in your submission.
