- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment.
- Maintain work area appearance and safety
- Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions
- Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner
- Must be able to show proficiency in the use of basic hand tools
- Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
- Inspect, and test, defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using diagnostic tools such as laptop computers, and pressure gauges.
- Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
- Vocational/Technical or certification preferred
- Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, etc), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications preferred
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Current A or B class CDL preferred, willingness to acquire CDL if you do not have one.
- Basic computer skills preferred for data entry for maintenance system
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Willingness to take a DOT physical, background check and MVR check.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.
