Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Job Description SummaryThe Mechanic maintains, repairs, and monitors equipment operation and utility services to the Hospital complex.
Job Description Essential Functions- Inspects and diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions in equipment.
- Repairs and maintains equipment by replacing or repairing defective parts, adjusting functional parts, and lubricating equipment.
- Tests equipment performance and ensures that it meets manufacturer specifications.
- Records maintenance and repair work performed on equipment.
- Operates equipment to detect equipment malfunctions and to verify that repairs have been completed satisfactorily.
- Cleans and maintains work area and tools.
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Licensure RequirementValid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy.
