Position SummaryAs an Experienced Field Service Technician, you will independently diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial equipment including forklifts, railcar movers, container handlers, and terminal tractors. This role is primarily field-based, working directly at customer sites to perform both scheduled maintenance and complex repairs.
You’ll serve as a trusted expert to our customers—delivering high-quality service, minimizing equipment downtime, and ensuring clear communication throughout the repair process.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on industrial equipment in the field.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and component replacements
- Accurately troubleshoot breakdowns and determine effective repair solutions
- Provide repair estimates and communicate recommendations clearly to customers
- Operate shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders as needed
- Review completed work and maintenance findings with customers
- Utilize mobile service technology to complete work orders, capture signatures, and close jobs daily
- Collaborate with dispatchers and account managers on job status and customer needs
- Maintain company-provided vehicle, tools, and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and reporting requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical or vocational training preferred
- 3+ years of experience as a service technician (material handling, heavy equipment, automotive, or related field)
- Proven experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools/software
- Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently in the field
- Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines independently

- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM - Compensation & Perks
