Traveling Inspector

Full‑time position requiring travel throughout the state to perform NFPA‑based inspections of water‑based fire systems and fire alarm systems.

• Perform NFPA 25 inspections on wet, dry, deluge, pre‑action, standpipe systems, fire hydrants, and fire pumps.
• Perform NFPA 72 inspections on fire alarm systems, including all system components.
• Perform NFPA 10 inspections on fire extinguishers.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting of wet‑based fire systems and explain findings to owners and service managers.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
• Monitor and ensure progress and completion of all assigned tasks.
• Complete and submit all work tickets and inspection reports to administrative personnel promptly.
• Self‑schedule daily inspections.
• Upsell company capabilities to new and existing customers.
• Perform inspections from man lifts at elevations of 30–40 feet when required.
• Conduct annual inspections on domestic and fire backflows.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience performing inspections.
• Vocational or industry trade school a plus.
• Ability to travel is required.
• Working knowledge of wet, dry, foam, deluge, pre‑action, standpipe, fire hydrants, and fire pumps.
• State license required to perform inspections on sprinkler, fire pump, hydrants, fire alarm, and fire extinguishers.
• Individual backflow license required.
• Knowledge of NFPA 10, 25, and 72 required.
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills required.
• Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and scissors/articulating lifts required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• Ability to obtain all required certifications, including NICET, required.
• NICET Level II in water‑based or fire alarm systems is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds required.
• Experience using a tablet or smartphone required.

• Significant experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) applications required.
