Position Summary:
Anistar is seeking experienced Structured Cable Technicians for a long term project to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables as well as security/access control equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond to trouble tickets from the Network Operations Center (NOC), troubleshooting and resolving issues both remotely and in the field.
- Document all activities and coordinate with customers, engineers, and NOC personnel.
- Conduct annual site surveys and provide detailed reports to iBwave engineers and project managers, including:
- Photos of site conditions and equipment
- Information on head-end, remote equipment, and closet details
- Visio drawings and reports in PowerPoint or Word
- Material lists and descriptions of the installation environment (e.g., ceiling type, work hours, special requirements like HEPA tenting, etc.)
- Complete grid testing for public safety networks using See Hawk Touch and PCTEL scanners.
- Troubleshoot issues related to coaxial cables, fiber optics, and software.
- Conduct basic installation and removal of equipment or hardware for Break/Fix tickets.
- Perform basic wiring and cabling tasks.
