Glass Technician

Job Description

Auto Glass Technician for Glass America replaces broken or pitted windshields and window glass in motor vehicles.

• Install auto glass and other auto glass products in-shop or on a mobile basis.
• Utilize proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service.
• Ensure required paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate person or location.
• Maintain a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
• Perform auto glass repairs as needed.
• Load glass in the truck as needed.
• Immediately follow up with the Glass Manager on any problems that arise.
• Maintain high levels of quality control.
• Provide excellence in customer service.
• Ensure that all needed equipment is operating properly.
• Immediately report any accident or incident to the Glass Manager.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Maintain a good rapport with all supervisors and co-workers.
• Position requires no supervision of staff.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 4-6 years of related work experience required.

• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to stand for long periods during glass installation.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to use hands efficiently in handling glass.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Mechanical aptitude and skill to operate hand and power tools and equipment.
