This full‑time, on‑site Hotel Maintenance Technician role is based in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area. The technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces, including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work. Daily tasks include completing work orders, conducting inspections, and performing preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment to ensure safety, comfort, and adherence to brand standards.

The role involves responding promptly to guest and staff service requests, troubleshooting equipment issues, and coordinating with vendors or contractors when needed. The technician also helps maintain a clean and safe work environment, follows all safety procedures, and supports other hotel departments to ensure a positive guest experience.

• Strong equipment maintenance skills, including routine servicing and basic adjustments on hotel systems and tools.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and basic HVAC issues to quickly identify and resolve problems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Hands‑on maintenance and repair abilities across multiple trades, including minor plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
• Background in industrial or facilities maintenance in a hotel, residential, or commercial setting is highly beneficial.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals, safety guidelines, and work orders accurately.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
• Commitment to guest service, professional communication, and effective collaboration with diverse team members.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training and relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are a plus.
