Service Technician & Mechanic - Truck & Trailer

Position Summary

ALL Crane Service, located in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Service Technician & Mechanic - Truck & Trailer. Hands‑on experience with heavy‑duty Class 8 semi‑tractors and trailers is required. This is a full‑time, non‑exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package and a $300 sign‑on bonus payable after 100 days of successful employment.

Essential Functions

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair trucks, trailers, and other construction equipment.
• Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Coordinate with service writers, supervisor, parts department, and customers.
• Document all work performed accurately.
• Use diagnostic equipment or receive training for troubleshooting and repair.
• Maintain compliance with safety requirements and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Strong diesel engine, hydraulic, and electrical background.
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic set of mechanic’s hand tools.
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery in varying temperature and humidity.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Previous experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks is a plus.
• Experience with diagnostic software such as Cummins INSITE is highly desired.
