Fyda Freightliner Columbus is the largest retailer of new and used Expediters in the United States. Serving the Columbus transportation industry hub since 1985, we operate as a full-service commercial truck dealership and body shop.

- *** Technician Responsibilities:
**** Completes service and repair assignments efficiently, safely, and correctly to pass quality inspections.
* Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
* Communicate directly with shop foreman regarding the status of the repair work.
* Continuously learn new technical information and techniques.
* Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plans repair process.
* Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
* Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
* Participates in all required safety meetings.
* Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using air tools and hand tools.
* Directs the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions and explains procedures to assistant.## Qualifications

Qualifications:

**** Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
* Working knowledge of shop equipment.
* Basic Heavy and Medium Duty Truck knowledge.
* Maintains sufficient personally owned tools.
* Ability to work independently.
* Detail oriented and quality driven.
* Must be able to pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screen.
