• Hourly Pay: $26.50 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter
• Sign On Bonus: $1250 at 30 days, $1250 at 90 days
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday, weekends off
• Hours:
  
  Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification, Post-Secondary degree, or Technical Certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work, etc.) required
• Two (2) years or more of classroom training and work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
• This position requires you to drive Ryder vehicles. In order to become a Ryder employee you must:
• Obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check; road test; and/or customer‑specific background requirements.

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Perform standard vehicle maintenance
• Perform standard component inspections and repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Diagnose standard mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
• Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required
• Replace defective components as instructed
• Perform facility maintenance duties
  
  Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint once assigned a task
• Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
• Work in accordance with all federal, provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT)
• Perform other support duties as required to support operations, such as Service Island support
