Lead Maintenance & Robotics Technician – $42.65/hr Job Overview

We are seeking a Lead Maintenance & Robotics Technician (SMRT) to lead maintenance efforts on advanced automated systems. This role involves high‑level troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of material handling equipment while supporting and mentoring junior technicians.

• Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on MHE systems and automation controls
• Lead preventative maintenance programs and drive equipment reliability
• Utilize CMMS for tracking, reporting, and planning maintenance work
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM requirements
• Mentor and support junior technicians and apprentices
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and external vendors

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of maintenance experience in automated or industrial environments
• Strong experience with MHE, conveyors, and automation systems
• Advanced ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
• Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics of complex systems
• CMMS experience

• Experience with PLC systems and controls
• Robotics maintenance and troubleshooting
• Leadership or team lead experience
• Associate’s degree or higher (mechanical/electrical field)
• Project or vendor coordination experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

• Pay range: $41,600.00 – $83,200.00/yr
